Achtung! Dieser Artikel vom 19. April 2018 hat schon ein paar Jahre auf dem Buckel. Der Inhalt kann (muss er aber natürlich nicht) in Teilen oder im Ganzen nicht mehr dem aktuellen Stand der Technik entsprechen!
Der MusicBee Entwicker ist weiterhin umtriebig. Seit dem 8. April 2018 gibt es den ersten Update Patch für die MusicBee Bersion 3.2. Wie immer zu beziehen im „Latest Version“ Thread des MusicBee Forums.
MusicBee-Update-Patch-Version-3-2
Dieser Patch macht aus Eurer MB Installation die Version 3.2.6676. Der Change-Log im MB Forum sieht so aus:
Change Log
- – The copy tags commands (2 hotkeys and from the main edit menu) now copy all metadata, including tags that MusicBee does not know about. The one exception is for MP3 files, where MusicBee will copy all TXXX tags but wont copy specific 4 character codes it has no handling for such as GEOB.
- new „Bit Depth“ field which shows the bits per sample for lossless files. Note that for lossy files (.mp3, .m4a, etc) that its a common mis-understanding that these files have 16-bits per sample when infact its undefined. As such MusicBee shows a blank value for lossy files. You will need to rescan existing lossless files for the value to show (right click/ Send To/ Rescan Files). The value is automatically captured for new files
- when retrieving artwork now has support for Back.jpg files. You will need to enable Back.* in Tags(1)/ artwork storage/ Edit List
- the iTunes export function now exports the playlist folder hierarchy
- when editing multiple files, for „Mixed“ fields, the tag editor now has an arrow that allows you to view/ select the tags that are excluded because they are not consistent across all files
- the Expanded Panel settings for the Artwork Layout now allow configuration of the Album header/ sub-header
- when creating new playlists, the name of the playlist is now set in the playlist configuration dialog
- there is now a second track information panel that can be included in the panel arrangement eg. you might dock it as a tab to show secondary track details
- numerous bug fixes
Ich bin mal ehrlich und sage das mich der Change-Log jetzt gerade nicht wirklich berührt. Ich hatte bisher halt keine Schwierigkeiten in der 3.2 Version, gebe aber auch zu dass ich mich noch nicht zu 100% damit auseinander gesetzt habe
Wer schon Erfahrung mit der 3.2 Version und/oder dem hier vorgestellten Patch hat. Bitte um Kommentar!

ich finde gar nicht deinen Beitrag zu den Bibliotheken. Ich suche deinen angekündigten Beitrag
„Ich erkläre in einem späteren Artikel wie Ihr dennoch Eure Bibliothek in sinnvollle Einzelbibliotheken “zerlegen” könnt falls das gewünscht ist (Hörbücher getrennt von Musik)“
Da ich verzweifelt nach einer Methode suche wie MusicBee selbst herausfindet was Hörbücher sind und was Lieder. Wie kann man das am besten tun?

Hallo Jörg,
die Biene hat mir gestern erstmalig nach einem Neustart ein Update angeboten. Gleiches Build wie beim neuen Patch. Ist die Vorgehensweise gleichwertig wie das manuelle Update über den Thread?

scheint mir irgendwie eine neue Funktion zu sein, hatte jedenfalls noch nicht das Vergnügen das mir MB von selbst ein Update angeboten hat. Ich tippe es verhält sich so wie auch bei einem manuellen Update, kann es aber nicht mit letzter Gewissheit sagen.

Ist leider keine echte integrierte Updatefunktion. Im Grunde genommen lädt er auch nur das Update herunter, welches man dann manuell installieren muss. Die einzige Neuigkeit ist also nur, dass man an das Update erinnert wird, wenn man die Funktion „Beim Start auf Updates prüfen“ aktiviert.
